WINE

World-class wines, traditional local ales including our very own Horning Ale and classic cocktails can be enjoyed at The Bath Arms. Our beers are supplied by local breweries, gin from local distilleries and wine from our very own wine merchant The Beckford Bottle Shop, just thirty minutes away, in the city of Bath. The Shop itself has a list of over two hundred and fifty wines from around the world and a curated selection of craft beers, craft ciders and spirits.

DINE

Our relaxed inn is the perfect environment for long lunches, sumptuous suppers and extends onto the sun-filled terrace and beautiful gardens throughout the warmer months. Chef Jack Chapman and his talented team are committed to cooking the abundance of seasonal Wiltshire produce. Meat and game from the Longleat Estate and local farms and fish landed daily on the south coast. The bar is also kept well-stocked with delicious snacks that are available throughout the day.

Private Dining

Whether you are planning a special celebration or intimate supper, The Bath Arms is the perfect place for your next rural escape. The Loft, our private dining space, is a large room that has been filled with a variety of antiques that Charlie has collected over the years. The room is separate from our main dining area and can seat up to 22 guests in great comfort with dedicated menus and staff. You can bring your own playlists or use some of our vinyl, or bring your own.

We work closely with you to create a menu matching your party from family-style fish pie and inventive vegetable dishes to our signature sharing roasts of succulent local beef, pork and lamb with Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings. Please take a look at our sample menu and get in touch to find out more or pop in for a quick look around.

Walter Rose & Sons

Walter Rose and Son was founded in 1847 by the Cook family, who have been in the butchery business for four generations. Brothers Jack and Charlie Cook practise tradition and provenance, taking huge pride in their craft. We are lucky to have them just a short drive from The Beckford, where livestock are free to graze in the Wiltshire countryside.
““Butchery is in our blood. For generations, we've partnered with farmers who are more than suppliers—they're our friends. They understand our high standards for meat quality, consistency, and the ethics that define our work.””
Jack & Charlie Cook / Owners

Longman's Cheese

The Longman family have a wealth of experience and a unique understanding of delicious dairy. The Longman’s are based just across in the Vale of Camelot and have been there for over two centuries. Their commitment to farming and cheese making has won them countless industry awards, a list of prestigious stockists and a superior product that we are proud to have on our menu.
“We have been supplying the pub directly from the very beginning. Working in this way allows us to deliver the very best cheese using 200 years of cheese making experience, it also gives us an excuse to stay for lunch”
Sarai Longman / Cheesemaker

Chalkstream Trout

Over a decade ago, Hugo sparked a trout revival, recognizing the unique qualities of trout raised on the Test and Itchen farms. Since then, Chalkstream has been producing sustainably farmed trout, grown slowly over two years to ensure lean, healthy, low-fat fish. The pristine waters of the Test and Itchen rivers, combined with the farmers' skill and care, result in trout with a remarkably clean taste.
““We have been supplying The Beckford Arms from the very start of our ChalkStream journey and we feel very proud and honoured to see a delicious local fish on such an amazing menu.””
Hugo / Founder
